Spotted eagle "travels" to Estonia via Serbia
BELGRADE - The female spotted eagle named Iti, member of a globally endangered species, makes a stopover in Serbia during the spring migration to Estonia for the sixth year in a row.
Instead of heading straight north across Bulgaria after flying over Turkey, Iti chooses to take the longer route and visits Serbia instead, the Serbian Bird Protection and Study Society says.

BELGRADE - There is no danger of floods on major rivers, with the Danube, the Sava and the Morava rivers currently at medium or medium-to-high levels for this time of year, the director of the Srbijavode water management company Goran Puzovic said on Wednesday.

France doubles number of rescuers in Serbia
BELGRADE - Last weekend, France doubled the number of technical rescuers it has sent to help relief efforts in Serbia after recent massive floods in the country, increasing it to a total of 89 rescue workers who are all on the ground right now, the French Embassy in Belgrade has said in a release.

Serbia Struggles to Control Flood Disaster
Aleksandar Marsenic, head of emergency situations, on Tuesday said that some 2,000 people had been evacuated overnight from Obrenovac, 30km southwest of Belgrade.
“The evacuation of people in Obrenovac continues,” Marsenic said.
