Coal production stops due to fire at Soma mine
Operations at a mine in the disaster-struck town of Soma, owned by the same company that operated the mine where 301 workers were killed in Turkeyâs largest mining disaster in May, were halted by a fire that broke out due to an increase in the gas level.

Bosnia coal mine cave-in claims five lives: union leader
Five Bosnian coal miners were killed after an earthquake triggered a tunnel cave-in, trapping dozens of men underground for 20 hours, a union leader said Friday.
"Twenty-nine (trapped miners) came out, but unfortunately five did not survive," Sinan Husic said on national television, without offering details on the circumstances and time of the men's death.
Death Toll in Turkish Coal Mine Blast Rises to 282
The death toll in the in the coal mine explosion and fire in western Turkey has increased to 282, according to Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz.
The government said 787 people had been inside the coal mine in Soma when an electrical fault triggered the blast soon after midday on Tuesday. A total of 363 were rescued.

Soma Mine Death Toll Rises in Turkey, National Mourning Declared
The number of victims who died after an explosion and fire in a mine in Turkey's Manica province has reached 274, Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said.
