Hatzidakis: Digital transformation funding to ‘take Greece higher’

National Economy and Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis said on Tuesday that "this is the first time that Greece has received so much in funding for the digital transformation of the economy," speaking at the Digital Economy Forum Shaping Greece's Digital Future conference of the Association of Informatics and Communications, where he represented Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Mitsotakis to chair cabinet meeting on 2024 state budget on Thursday

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will chair a cabinet meeting at 11 a.m. on Thursday, to discuss the 2024 state budget and a bill concerning climate change policies, among other issues.   

At 4 p.m., Mitsotakis will meet with Google Vice-President for Engineering & Research, Yossi Matias, to mark the 15 years of the company's presence in Greece.

Bulgarian and Greek Tourism Ministers Meet at UNWTO Forum in Athens

Bulgarian caretaker Tourism Minister Stela Baltova held a working meeting with Greek Tourism Minister Harry Theocharis during a UNWTO forum in Athens, Baltova's Ministry said in a press release Friday. At the meeting Baltova said that Greece is traditionally one of Bulgaria's best partners in tourism and thanked Theocharis for his readiness to strengthen and develop the cooperation.

Greece Is Cautiously Optimistic about Tourism Recovery This Summer

The head of Greece's tourism confederation SETE expressed "restrained optimism" on Friday for a recovery in the industry this year after the hammering from the COVID-19 pandemic, forecasting revenues could reach 40% of 2019 levels.

Bulgarians Will Be Able to Vacation in Greece from Mid-April, Test Opening for Balkan Tourists Planned for Easter
