Pandemic and Earthquakes Take Toll on Young Croatians’ Mental Health

Boris Jokic from the Institute for Social Research told a panel discussion at the Journalists' House in Zagreb on Friday that the coronavirus pandemic and the large-scale earthquakes that hit Croatia in 2020 strengthened school pupils' relationships with their family and friends but negatively affected their mental health.

One-Third of Nurses who Graduate immediately leave Bulgaria

"There is a shortage of about 40,000 nurses in Bulgaria, and of 700 graduates a year, one-third immediately leave Bulgaria". Serbian gov't signs MoU with pharmaceuticals company MSD

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic and the senior vice president of the pharmaceuticals firm Merck Sharp and Dohme (MSD), Cyril Schiever, signed on Wednesday a MoU that will be significant for Serbia's future BIO4 Campus research centre.

Brnabic thanked MSD for supporting "our efforts to make Serbia a leader in biotechnology, biomedicine, bioresearch and bioinformatics."

Bulgarian Professor: Parents who Refuse Free Immunization of their Child must Sign а Written Responsibility

"It is dangerous that people do not want to vaccinate their children. We are talking about the mandatory immunization calendar. A few more vaccines should be included, but they should be optional and paid for by public funds. A parent who refuses a free immunization must sign a written responsibility. There are vaccines that Europeans cannot do without."
