Çorum deputy asks return of Ankara's Hittite artifacts
Ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Çorum deputy and parliament's administrative chief Salim Uslu said they have initiated works to move Hittite civilization artifacts at the Anatolian Civilizations Museum in Ankara and the Hittite Sun Course Monument in the capital's Sıhhiye Square to the Central Anatolian province of Çorum.
Doyenne of Turkish archaeology Halet Çambel featured in Google's Women's Day Doodle
The doyenne of archaeology in Turkey, Halet Çambel, is among the prominent female figures depicted in a doodle prepared by Google for International Women's Day on March 8.
The slideshow doodle showcased 13 female pioneers from around the world including Americanjournalist Ida Wells, Egypt's first female pilot Lotfia El Nadi, and Mexian painter Frida Kahlo.

Findings in Kayseri show active ancient Anatolian women
Clay tablets unearthed during excavations at the Kültepe Kaniş/Karum mound in the province of Kayseri in central Turkey reveal that Anatolian women played an active part in administration and trade up to 4,000 years ago.
Ancient seal found in Tatarlı Mound
Excavations at Tatarlı Mound in the southern province of Adana's Ceyhan district have unearthed an impression seal from a monumental Hittite-era structure. The seal contains information from about 3,000 years ago. The female name "Pati" was also found on the seal.

The Hittite capital hosts ambassadors
The archaeological site of Hattusha, the capital of the Hittite civilization which entered the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1986, was visited by a number of ambassadors in Turkey over the weekend as part of its two-day 30th anniversary celebrations organized by the governor's office in the Central Anatolian province Çorum.
