The Hellenic Police (ELAS) has launched its new and improved Cyberalert center, which allows citizens to call the 11188 hotline to report cyber attacks or crimes.
The new center utilizes voice over IP that is expected to speed up and improve services. It also allows call handlers to connect citizens with a specialized cyber crimes officer at their nearest police precinct.

Athens cooling centers to remain open amid continuing heat
Six air-conditioned venues around the center of Athens will remain open Wednesday as temperatures are expected to remain dangerously high for another day.
City Hall has a 24-hour hotline (1595) that citizens can call for information or to arrange transport for an elderly or disabled person to one of the venues.

Cardboard boxes abandoned in front of a bank have been found in the center of Ruse, Bulgaria's sixth-biggest city, triggering alarm among residents, private NOVA TV broadcaster informs.

New phone lines for appointments at polyclinics
Citizens can book appointments at polyclinics forming part of the streamlined Primary National Healthcare Network (PEDY) from Wednesday as a new telephone service is to start operating several weeks after EOPYY, which PEDY replaces, suspended its phone hotline.
