The United States announced on Feb. 12 it is revoking the designation of Yemen's Houthi rebels as a terrorist group effective Feb. 16, a reversal by the Biden administration welcomed by the United Nations and humanitarian groups who feared former president Donald Trump's actions would impede aid deliveries to the conflict-torn country facing the world's worst humanitarian crisis.

Ankara welcomes new Yemeni government
Turkey on Dec. 27 welcomed Yemen's new government after it was sworn in recently in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
"We hope that this development will contribute to the resolution of the conflict and the humanitarian crisis that has been going on for over six years," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Turkish charity distributes Ramadan aid in Yemen
The Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay) distributed 2,000 food parcels to Yemen on May 16 to needy families.
The head of the Kızılay delegation, Mustafa Aydın, told Anadolu Agency that parcels were distributed to families and refugees in Marib as part of a campaign to distribute 5,000 food parcels in Yemen's different provinces.
