Always one for the grand gesture, outgoing Defense Minister Panos Kammenos, decided to use the ministerial Huey helicopter _ which he mistakenly calls HU1 instead of UH-1 in his Tweet _ to fly over the Imia islets, site of a 1996 incident between Greece and Turkey that brought the to countries to the brink of war.

The sole survivor of a military helicopter crash that killed four army officers has said that the aircraft got tangled in power lines before going down.
The UH-1H helicopter crashed on Wednesday near the village of Sarantaporo in Elassona, central Greece, during a routine patrol flight.

UPD: Four people have died and one is seriously injured in the UH-1H Greek army helicopter crash in the area of Sarantaporos-Elessona. Sargeant major Vasiliki Plejida was found seriously injured by rescue teams and is being transported to the 424 Military hospital of Thessaloniki for treatement.
Nepal rescuers find 3 bodies near crashed US chopper
Nepalese rescuers on May 15 found three bodies near the wreckage of a US Marine helicopter that disappeared earlier this week while on a relief mission in the earthquake-hit Himalayan nation, officials said.
Nepal's Defense Secretary Iswori Poudyal gave no details about the nationalities of the victims. The helicopter was carrying six Marines and two Nepalese army soldiers.
