Heart Diseases Remain Leading Cause of Deaths in Bulgaria
Nearly one third of all deaths worldwide are caused by cardiovascular diseases, announced by the Bulgarian Society of Cardiology.
In Europe, over 4 million people die of cardiovascular diseases every year. The most common among these are the coronary artery disease and the stroke, Bulgarian National Radio notes.
Greeks suffer more strokes than heart attacks
The number of Greeks suffering strokes outnumber those getting heart attacks according to a medical report set to be unveiled at a clinical cardiology congress scheduled to take place in Athens on Apri 25-26.
