The Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) announced that it will stop the movement of trucks over 12 tons in a 17-kilometer section of the Hemus motorway for a little more than 24 hours.

From 12 noon on July 25 (Sunday) to 2 pm on July 26 (Monday) the traffic of heavy trucks between the 47th and 30th km of the motorway in the direction of Sofia is stopped.

Drivers are advised to drive with caution and consistent speed on the Struma highway and the first-class I-1 road in the area of Kresna and Strumyani due to fog with a visibility of up to 5 meters, the Road Infrastructure Agency warned.

Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency on August 14 filed a complaint with the Prosecutor's office against the owner of the secondary raw material plant in Dupnitsa. The company's waste caused a huge fire on Struma motorway.

From 23.00 to 24.00, on Wednesday and Saturday, August 7 and 10, traffic in both directions will be stopped in sections of Europe Motorway because of the installation of the electronic toll collection system, Road Infrastructure Agency said on August 5, reports BNT. 

From 23:00 to 24:00, the traffic on Struma Highway will be stopped in both directions. This will happen at the 163rd km of the motorway in the area of ​​the of Marino Pole village near Petrich.

Archaeological finds revealed during the construction of the Struma highway near the village of Pokrovnik are part of the exhibits at the national exhibition "Bulgarian archeology 2018", the Road Infrastructure Agency (API) announced.

There is heavy truck traffic to Romania through Danube Bridge Vidin checkpoint, according to Border Police data as of 6.00 am. On all other crossings the passage of vehicles is normal. 

Fees will be introduced for passage though Danube Bridge in the direction of Rousess - Giurgiu on the territory of Bulgaria, Bulgaria's government decided during 27th of December weekly meeting, which was the last one for this year, reports BNT.

The toughest situation will be traditionally on the Hemus highway, which will have restrictions all summer. By the middle of June, a repair will take place some 20 kilometers from the Trakia highway after Plovdiv.
