Six US F-16 Jets Deployed to Turkey for IS Offensive
US fighter aircraft have been deployed at the Incirlik Air Base in Turkey to help Ankara fight against the Islamic State (IS) group, US envoys to NATO have said.
The deployment, which came from the Aviano Air Base in Italy, includes 300 US military personnel.
Ankara and Washington agreed last month that the Incirlik base will be used by warplanes to attack IS positions.

Turkey has officially allowed the US-led coalition to use the country's Incirlik Air Base for airstrikes against targets of Islamic State (IS) group in Syria, state-run Anadolu news agency (AA) reported on Wednesday.
Ankara first announced it would opening its air bases for manned and unmanned coalition aircraft on 24 July following years of reluctance.

The Incirlik Airbase could only be used by the international coalition fighting the Islamic State (IS) group if there is a "comprehensive process", a spokesperson for the Turkish Foreign Ministry has said.
Tanju Bilgic said on Wednesday the inclusion of the base in US-led operations was currently "out of the question".
