Salaries in Greece appear to be bottoming out this year, with a rise expected in 2015 for the first time after a long period, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).

Bulgaria's MPs, Ministers Get Pay Rise
The recently elected Bulgarian MPs and ministers are getting a pay rise, shows data of the National Statistic Institute on the average salary in Bulgaria.
According to the data, the average monthly salary in Bulgaria's public sector in Q3 2014 rose by 5.8% year-on-year and reached BGN 900.

Civil servant wage discrepancies abound despite unified wage scheme
As the government attempts to revise a unified pay structure for civil servants in a bid to iron out differences without increasing spending, a study of the new scheme reveals that discrepancies still abound, with employees in certain parts of the public sector receiving as much as 2,000 euros more per month than colleagues with the same qualifications.
Disposable income kept falling in Q2
The average household disposable income shrank by 4.3 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2014, leading to a 1.6 percent reduction in consumption and a further drop in money saving rates, according to Hellenic Statistical Authority figures released on Monday. Nevertheless investments posted an increase.

PASOK objects to plans for changes to public sector wage structure
Coalition partner PASOK has reacted to leaks about the new pay structure in the civil service by saying that it has not accepted the changes.
In a direct attack on Administrative Reform Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, PASOK said he should learn to consult more with coalition partners and spend less time on leaks to the media.

National Revenue Agency Boasts Increase in Rental Income Taxes
Significant increase in taxes collected from rental income was reported by Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency, Nova TV informs.
In 2013, some 115 000 Bulgarians have paid taxes to the state for having tenants. Their income reached nearly BGN 0.5B.
Athens water utility's net income falls to 15.6 mln euros
The Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Companys (EYDAP) first-half net income fell to 15.6 million euros from 33.9 million in the same period of 2013, according to its financial statement published on Friday.

BELGRADE -- The average July salaries and wages in Serbia were at RSD 45,216 (EUR 384) which was a 0.8 percent increase in real terms compared to June.
The average gross salaries and wages paid in July 2014 were RSD 62,380 and compared to June 2014, this was an increase of 0.7 percent in real terms.
