Armed Forces’ Independence Day parade concludes in Athens
The annual parade of the Armed Forces for Greece's March 25th Independence Day concluded on Monday after passing the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of Parliament at Syntagma Square, where President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and political and military officials were gathered.
The parade also drew a crowd of thousands of onlookers waving Greek flags and cheering the troops on.
1821 remains ‘glorious milestone,’ Sakellaropoulou says
The declaration of the revolution against Ottoman rule on March 25, 1821, remains "glorious milestone in the long history of our nation," President Katerina Sakellaropoulou has said in her message to the Greek diaspora on the occasion of Greek Independence Day.

The Foreign Ministry released a statement on Thursday marking Ukraine's Independence Day, stressing Greece's support for its territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The presidential order also states that Prystaiko has also been removed from the post of Ukraine's representative at the International Maritime Organization.
Prystajko has been the ambassador of Ukraine in London since July 20, 2020.

Two Injured in Explosion in Central Kiev
Two people were injured on Thursday in an explosion near government headquarters in the center of Kiev, Ukraine's capital, on the Independence Day holiday, police said, quoted by Reuters.
Olena Gitlyanska, spokeswoman for Ukraine's state security service, said the blast, at around 2 p.m., was most likely an act of hooliganism.

Ukrainian embassy marks Independence Day
Ambassador of Ukraine in Belgrade Oleksandr Aleksandrovich organized a reception on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day.
Addressing the guests, Aleksandrovich "pointed to the long history of the Ukrainian people and events of the recent past such as the Orange Revolution and the Euromaidan."
