Unpaid Greek VIO.ME workers occupy Greek construction plant and make soap (pics)
The factory
When VIO.ME’s owner decided to shut down his construction manufacturing plant, the factory’s workers decided to occupy the facilities and create their own ecological production line. The plant is guarded 24 hours a day as it has remained occupied by its own workers since 2011 after the management suddenly announced that all its production activities would end.

Turkish car maker Tofa? has announced some of the details of the concessions given to its protesting workers in a written statement late May 24.
Production activities resumed in Tofa?, a joint venture of Italy?s Fiat and Turkey?s Koç Holding, as of May 22 after a week of labor protests.
Serbian Unions Mark May Day with Protests
The Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Serbia, the Independence Union and the Association of Unions of Pensioners will stage a protest in Belgrade on May 1, marking International Workers' Day.
Ahead of the protest, they organised a two-day campaign in six towns and cities across the country in order to promote labour rights and call for improvements.

Stoppage on Athens metro, electric railway and tram on Wednesday
There will be no metro, electric railway or tram in Athens between noon and 4 p.m. on Wednesday due to a work stoppage by employees.
Unions said on Monday that they are taking the action because the management at STASY, the company that operates fixed track modes of public transport, has so far failed to sign a new collective contract.
