Police investigate "public procurement abuses" in EPS
Criminal police investigations directorate (UKP) inspectors were on Friday in the premises of the state-owned power company EPS.
They were investigating suspected "public procurement process abuses," B92 has been able to confirm.
Police investigate former management of Zelezara
The police on Wednesday morning started checking the business activities of Zelezara Smederevo steel factory's former management.
B92 has received confirmation for this, and learned that inspectors are checking documents related to transportation of goods, on suspicion there were "irregularities."

Public Procurement Violations Robbed Bulgaria's Budget of BGN 13.991 M in 2014
Public procurement violations caused damage to the state coffers worth BGN 13.991 M in 2014, according to a report of Bulgaria's Public Financial Inspection Agency (PFIA) presented on Wednesday at a regular meeting of the government.
At the same time the fines imposed for these violations stood at BGN 1.975 M.

Public administration inspector to be given more hands
The man responsible for uncovering corruption in the public sector is to be give more staff, it was revealed on Friday.
According to legislation submitted to Parliament, public administration general inspector Leandros Rakintzis (photo) is to be given another four employees.
The new staff will work as special inspectors, who receive higher wages than other civil servants.
Tax official, accountant caught bribing 80-year-old over business closure
A tax inspector and an accountant were arrested on Thursday on suspicion that they had asked for a bribe to help wind up a company.
The 80-year-old man registered as the firms manager informed police that, via the accountant, the official from the Psychico tax office in Athens had demanded 30,000 euros in cash in order to help him resolve his tax issues.
