Millions of people all over the world woke up on Oct. 21 to a direct threat to their lifestyles and work.

BELGRADE - Beginning in March 2016, Cloudflare team began hearing reports of a gang of cybercriminals once again calling themselves the Armada Collective. The calling card of the gang was an extortion email sent to a wide variety of online businesses threatening to launch DDoS attacks if they weren't paid in Bitcoin.

22-year old Syrian Jaber Albakir who was arrested on terrorism charges was preparing an attack on one of the airports in Berlin.

He had been followed by intelligence services since September, after US and French services alerted their German colleagues about a planned attack against infrastructure sites in Germany.

The Serbian president's website faced a large-scale "hacking" attack on Monday, which brought it down for several hours, his press office said.

It was last week, in the morning hours of Dec. 16, when the first cyberattack started. These attacks continued until Dec. 21 with some interruptions. 

The target of the cyberattacks was all internet traffic and frankly it was quite successful, as internet traffic slowed down nationwide. 

A 37-year-old man running a file-sharing website has been arrested for disseminating unlicensed films and television series online without having purchased the rights, the police said Friday.
