Turkish airstrikes neutralized eight outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in Turkey's southeastern and eastern provinces and northern Iraq, the military said on July 1. 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan vowed to keep fighting terror for the upcoming period, as the Turkish Army stated that 56 outlawed Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) members were either seized or killed in military operations carried in southeastern border cities of Turkey and Northern Iraqi regions between the dates June 22 to 28.

A report published by Radio Free Europe on Wednesday said Ukraine was investigating a far-right group of 54 pro-separatist fighters - including six Serbs - who took part in attacks on Ukrainian forces in the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk from July 2014 onwards.

Turkish airstrikes on June 26 "neutralized" eight outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in operations in both Turkey and northern Iraq, the military said.

One soldier was killed and two were injured in an attack carried out by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the eastern Turkish province of Bitlis on June 25, officials have said.

The governor's office in the southern border province of Hatay has denied allegations that Free Syrian Army (FSA) members have voted in the city's Defne neighborhood, following a social media post from a local journalist alleging that buses without license plates and with Syrian flags entered the neighborhood. 

Turkish police detained 11 suspected members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in Ankara on June 23 on suspicion of planning a "provocative action" during voting on June 24, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported.

The Syrian Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG), which is listed by Ankara as a terrorist organization and an offspring of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), is scheduled to withdraw from the northern Syrian town of Manbij on July 4, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has said. 

In 2017, 68 innocent victims lost their lives as a result of terrorist attacks in the European Union (EU) - reason enough for Europol not to reduce its efforts in combatting terrorism in all its forms. Even though the number of casualties decreased last year, the number of attacks on European soil did not. The number of jihadist-inspired attacks more than doubled.

The Turkish army has neutralized 36 outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in anti-terror operations in both Turkey and northern Iraq, the military said early June 19.
