Five outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants have been "neutralized" in an airstrike on April 18 in northern Iraq, the Turkish military stated on April 18.

The outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party's (PKK) drug-related activities are linked to the group's presence in the United Kingdom and Germany, according to a report prepared by the Turkish Parliament's Drug Addiction Research Commission.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan once again struck a harsh tone against supporters of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) on April 8, saying supporters of the group will "end up in hell" and vowing to continue operations in Syria and Iraq.

At least two Turkish soldiers were killed and another one injured on April 6 when an improvised explosive device planted by PKK militants detonated in the southeastern province of Hakkari, a security source said.
