The conservation process of the Yenikapı shipwrecks, discovered during the Marmaray project and considered the world's largest collection of ancient ships, has stopped due to the lack of a museum or a warehouse, says the head of the Yenikapı Shipwrecks Excavation and Conservation Project.

Two individuals have been detained following an attack on Istanbul Municipality officials during the demolition of illegal cafes in Üsküdar district.

An unidentified object was detected by the cockpit crew of two passenger planes at an altitude of approximately 9,000 feet (2,743 meters) in the southern province of Gaziantep at around midnight on May 20.

A sculpture competition was held in April last year to enrich the architecture of AKM, which underwent a great restoration work and now welcomes art lovers with its renewed face.
