Israeli forces killed three members of the Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad during a raid on April 2 in the occupied West Bank, police said, the latest in a surge of violence.

At least four Palestinians were killed on Aug. in clashes with Israeli security forces at Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank, an Israeli official and the Palestinian health ministry said.

The Palestinian government has welcomed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's decision to establish an industrial zone in the West Bank city of Jenin.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Palestinian Economy Minister Khaled Al-Osaily said the Turkish support amounts to $10 million and is meant for the internal structure of the industrial zone.

A 52-year-old former political prisoner facing extradition from Bulgaria but refusing to turn himself in is still staying at the Palestinian Authority's embassy, Al Jazeera reports.

Five Palestinians and an Israeli border policeman were wounded in a raid in the occupied West Bank to arrest a Hamas militant, the Israeli army and local medical officials said on Sept 1. 

The fate of the wanted man was not immediately clear. The army said soldiers demolished a house, in the city of Jenin, in which he was suspected of hiding, after they were shot at. 

Israeli troops shot dead a Palestinian during an arrest operation in the occupied West Bank on July 23, a hospital official said, the second killing within 24 hours.

Falah Abu Maria, 50, was shot in the chest in the village of Beit Omar near the southern city of Hebron, neighbours said.

Israeli forces killed a member of the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas during a raid in the occupied West Bank on June 10, witnesses and medics said. 

A spokesman for Israel's paramilitary border police said its troops were in Jenin as part of a predawn operation against suspected militants, when they saw a Palestinian preparing to throw a pipe bomb at them and shot him.
