CNCAV: 60,000 vaccine doses of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine to arrive to Romania

A number of 60,000 doses of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine will arrive on Thursday at the Cantacuzino National Institute for Medical-Military Research and Development in Bucharest, the National COVID-19 Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV) informs.

COVID-19 vaccination campaign: 41,554 people immunised in last 24 hours, 18,554 with first dose

Romania's National COVID-19 Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV) has reported that in the last 24 hours, 41,554 doses of vaccine were administered, of which 28,383 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, 2,648 of the Moderna vaccine, 1,413 of the AstraZeneca vaccine and 9,110 of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Over 20 mln coronavirus vaccine jabs administered in Turkey

Turkey has so far administered more than 20 million coronavirus vaccine jabs across the country, the Health Ministry data showed on April 19. 

More than 12.2 million people to date have received their first doses, while second doses have been given to over 7.79 million, according to the data.

EU to get 50 million Pfizer doses early as US prolongs J&J pause

The European Union said on April 14 that it is expecting 50 million Pfizer coronavirus vaccine doses earlier than expected, as the United States said it would continue a pause in vaccinations using the Johnson & Johnson shot for at least another week so regulators can assess possible blood clot links.

Countries Pause Johnson & Johnson Vaccine over Rare Blood Clots

European Union, US and South Africa and  will temporarily stop the rollout of the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Covid jab, after reports of rare blood clotting.

Six cases were detected in more than 6.8 million doses of the vaccine, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said.

Johnson & Johnson has paused its EU rollout, which started this week.
