Tennis-Jovanovski fails to defend title in Tashkent
TASHKENT - Serbia's Bojana Jovanovski was unable to defend the title at the WTA tournament in Tashkent, losing it to Italy's Karin Knapp 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) in the final on Saturday.
From the very start of the match, it was clear that Jovanovski was not up to the task against the Italian who showed great determination to win.

Jovanovski in quarterfinals in Tashkent
TASHKENT - Serbia's Bojana Jovanovski beat Russia's Ala Kudriavtseva 7(8)-6 3-6 6-3 on Wednesday to reach the quarterfinals of the WTA tournament in Tashkent.
Jovanovski is the top seed at the event and the defending champion.
Her next opponent will be Ursula Radwanska from Poland or Dona Vekic from Croaita.

Jovanovski makes winning start in Washington
WASHINGTON - Serbia's Bojana Jovanovski made a successful start at the WTA tournament in Washington, edging Australian Olivia Rogowska 6-7 (5-7), 7-5, 7-5 in the first round early on Wednesday.
Jovanovski next faces Sorana Cirstea of Romania, who defeated Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.

Jovanovski beated in WTA Baku Cup final
BAKU - Serbian female tennis player Bojana Jovanovski failed to win the WTA Baku Cup in Azerbaijan as she lost the final match to Ukraine's Elina Svitolina early on Sunday, 6-2, 7-6 (7-2).
Still, Jovanovski claimed 180 points which will improve her ranking on the WTA list due to be issued on Monday.

Jovanovski through to Baku WTA final
BAKU - Serbian tennis player Bojana Jovanovski qualified for the final of the WTA Baku Cup in Azerbaijan as she defeated Stefanie Voegele from Switzerland, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.
In the final, Jovanovski will cross rackets with Ukraine's Elina Svitolina who beat Italian player Francesca Schiavone, on Saturday, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.

Tennis-Bojana Jovanovski reaches semifinals in Baku
BAKU – Serbia’s Bojana Jovanovski qualified for the semi-finals of the WTA tournament in Baku, Azerbaijan, after defeating Misa Eguchi of Japan 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 Friday morning.
Jovanovski will next play either Shahar Peer of Israel or Stephanie Voegele of Switzerland.

Jovanovski through to Baku WTA second round
BAKU - Serbian female tennis player Bojana Jovanovski qualified for the Baku WTA second round as she defeated Austria's Patricia Mayr-Aćleitner in the Monday matć, 2-6, 7-5, 6-3.
In the second round, Jovanovski will croš rackets with the winner of the matć between Poland's Katarzyna Piter and Kristyna Pliskova of the Czeć Republic.

Jovanovski ousts Azarenka from Wimbledon WTA
LONDON - Serbian female tennis player Bojana Jovanovski surprised the audience at the Wimbledon Championships on Wednesday as she defeated Victoria Azarenka of Belarus in the second round match, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5.
Jovanovski ousted the tournament's eight seed and got even with her for the defeat at the London Grand Slam four years ago.

Jovanovski through to Wimbledon second round
LONDON - Serbian tennis player Bojana Jovanovski reached the second round of Wimbledon beating Swedish Johanna Larsson 7-6 (7-2), 6-0.
Serbia's No. 3 female player is next to take on the winner of the match between Belarus Victoria Azarenka and Croat Mirjana Lucic Baroni.
