Ancient pilgrimage center unearthed in Turkey's north
Works have been resumed, after two years, in the ancient city of Hadrianapolis in the northern province of Karabük's Eskipazar district.
The ancient city is believed to have been established in the first century B.C. and was used as a settlement until the eighth century.

Probe launched into imam who closed down mosque in Turkey's Black Sea to take holiday
Religious authorities have launched an investigation into an imam who closed down a mosque in the Safranbolu district of the Black Sea province of Karabük to take his annual leave, Doğan News Agency has reported.
Ancient tombs, church found in Tieion in northern Turkey
This year's excavation works have ended in the ancient city of Tieion, known as the Ephesus of the Black Sea, after unearthing 25 Byzantine-era tombs and one church.
Located in the Çaycuma district of Zonguldak province, Tieion dates back to the 6th or 7th century and excavations at the site started 10 years ago.
Turkey to sell train rails to Iran in exchange for oil: Minister
Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Binali Y?ld?r?m has said Turkey will buy oil from Iran in exchange of train rails in line with an 80-million-euro deal.
Y?ld?r?m visited the Black Sea province of Karabük to open a railway route, which was completed by European Union funds and Turkey's financial contributions, in the region on April 26.

A long-awaited cold snap finally hit Turkey on Jan. 6, with snow disrupting transportation in many cities.
One primary school student was killed after a school bus crashed in the western Black Sea province of Karabük. ?lker Karak?r?k, 9, died despite medical intervention after being rushed to hospital. Eighteen other students as well as the driver were injured in the accident.
