Green win, Red loss at the opening of the Euroleague
Olympiakos started off in the Euroleague with a loss at Fenerbahce, after holder Panathinaikos had to work harder than expected to defeat Alba in Berlin.
The Greens won 87-77 on Thursday at one of the least fancied teams in the new Euroleague, and at the city they had won the trophy just a few months ago.
Greens stay alive in the finals
Panathinaikos reduced its arrears on Monday as it won Game 3 of the final series with Olympiakos, to take the best-of-five finals to a fourth game.
The Greens won 83-76 at the Olympic Sports Hall to make the score 2-1 and take the series to the Peace and Friendship Stadium on Wednesday.

Nunn renews PAO contract
In the wake of Panathinaikos' qualification on Tuesday to the Final Four of the Euroleague basketball championship in Berlin later in the month, the Athens club confirmed on Wednesday that the former Miami Heat guard Kendrick Nunn, who dazzled fans during the playoffs, has renewed his contract with until the end of the 2025-2026 season.

Reds defeat the Greens by six for the Euroleague
Olympiakos beat Panathinaikos for a second time in this season's Euroleague and now both of Greece's representatives are on an 18-11 record.
The Reds won 71-65 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium of Piraeus on Thursday to match their archrivals' record.
