The notorious Roma baron Kiril Rashkov, aka Tsar Kiro, was buried in Plovdiv like an Egyptian pharaoh. He was laid in a specially built mausoleum, like that of one of his sons. Along with the Roma baron, suitcases with his personal belongings, gold jewelry worth dozens of thousands levs, furniture and even his golden throne were brought to his last resting place.

The notorious Roma baron Kiril Rashkov, aka Tsar Kiro, died this night at his home in Plovdiv aged 78. The news was confirmed by the family's lawyer Rositsa Draginova, reported "24 Hours"

A huge piece of a building's balcony, located at the corner of Knyaz Al. Dondukov Blvd. and Bacho Kiro Street, broke off and fell on the sidewalk. No injured people.

The site of the incident is located opposite the former party house and the KEVR.

The Specialised Penal Court has sentenced the Roma boss Kiril Rashkov - Tsar Kiro (King Kiro) to two years in prison and a fine of BGN 10,000 for the illegal possession of mercury, as well as of coins with archaeological and cultural-historical value.
