Join the Ministry of Concrete and This is Athens-City Festival for Flare the Square, a thrilling skateboarding celebration in downtown Kotzia Square. Witness seasoned pros and budding amateurs showcase their skills in a bespoke skate park setting. Enjoy live concerts, DJ sets, and street food from 1 to 10.30 p.m. Admission is free.

The central event of Athens Pride will take place on Kotzia Square, opposite Athens Town Hall, on Saturday, June 10.

The change from the traditional venue of Syntagma Square was necessitated by the presence of a party election pavilion on the central square.

The municipal authority invites residents and guests to celebrate the Greek capital with the Athens City Festival (cityfestival.thisisathens.org), a rich program of live performances, exhibitions, historical tours, lectures and walks, which also includes a special section encouraging the use of bicycles in the city center.

Investment fever is spreading on Aiolou Street, Athinas Street and Kotzia Square to Patision Street and the National Archaeological Museum, with investors maintaining high expectations for the return of the area to its bygone glory.

Athens Digital Arts Festival presents its Athens Christmas Light Festival, in collaboration with the City of Athens, the Athens Cultural Sports & Youth Organization and Technopolis.

The Athens Beer Festival is under way in downtown Athens, across the street from City Hall in Kotzia Square. The event boasts 50 different labels from Greek brewers and microbreweries, another 50 from craft ale powerhouse the Czech Republic and an additional 20 labels from other producers. There are also parallel events going on, including live music performances. The festival opens at 1 p.m.

The 23rd City of Athens Book Fair brings together more than 9,000 titles at discounts of up to 30 percent in Kotzia Square in front of City Hall. Admission is free of charge and opening hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
