Three hospital employees found guilty over baby's 2010 death
Two doctors and a nurse were found guilty by a Thessaloniki court, for a second time, of manslaughter in the death of a 13-month-old boy from Kozani, northern Greece, in 2010 and received suspended sentences ranging from eight to 16 months.

Snow, rain cause problems in northern Greece, Peloponnese
More than 40 villages were struggling with a complete power outage in the Western Macedonia region on Thursday following heavy snowfall overnight, while in the northern Peloponnese, a rock fall caused by rain closed off a section of the Patra-Corinth highway.
Owner of dog that killed boy to have assets seized
A court in Kozani, northern Greece, on Friday ordered the seizure of all assets with a total value of 150,000 euros belonging to the owner of a dog that killed a 5-year-old boy last spring.
The mother of the boy, who was mauled by the Rotweiller during a family Easter outing, is seeking damages of 140,000 euros.

Greece misses out on Eurovolley
The men's national volleyball team came close to reaching the Eurovolley 2017 finals, but eventually succumbed to Spain and missed out on next year's tournament.
After losing 3-0 to Spain on October 1 with a miserable performance at the Canary Islands, Greece had to win 3-0 or 3-1 in the return leg in Kozani on Saturday and then win the "golden set".

Trial of wife killer starts in Kastoria
The trial of a 40-year-old man accused of murdering his wife and burying her body in a field started on Tuesday at a court in Kastoria, northern Greece, with a considerable police presence.
The man admitted to killing 37-year-old Anthi Linardou in January after police found her remains in Velvento, near Kozani.
The man had previously denied knowing what happened to his wife.

Kozani: 5-year-old dies after being attacked by Rottweilers
The funeral of the 5-year-old boy who was killed in Kozani, when he was attacked by two Rottweilers on Easter Sunday, was held on Tuesday morning at the cemetery of Aghios Georgios in Kozani.
