Kosovo Abolishes Customs Duties on Serbian Goods

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced that trade duties on Serbian goods will be abolished from March 15th. He announced this at a press conference, TASS reported.

"We will make a decision to abolish the tariff on raw materials imported from Serbia from March 15 as a sign of goodwill to resolve the political and economic dispute with Serbia," Kurti said.

"We can discuss things that pertain to the economic progress, we have no problem with that, but we will not discuss the status until the fees are abolished. That is on hold, and we are waiting for the fees to be abolished", Vucic said when asked by Al Jazeera journalists in Munich, where he participates in the Munich Security Conference.

New Kurti Cabinet Repeals Former Kosovo Government’s Decisions

At its second official meeting on Wednesday, Kosovo's new government under Albin Kurti scrapped several decisions made by the former government of Ramush Haradinaj.

Prime Minister Kurti for a start asked his cabinet to withdraw the decision of the former government to increase ministerial salaries by almost 100 per cent, and restore wages to their previous level.

Kurti does not give up "Greater Albania"

According to the first Central Election Commission's preliminary results, Kurti received the strongest support from the citizens of Kosovo and Metohija in the last snap elections.
"National unity of Albanians cannot happen within the European Union," Kurti said in an interview with KTV, the first since declaring an election victory.
