Groper nabbed in Maroussi

A man was arrested on Wednesday in the district of Galatsi on charges of groping women and girls in various parts of Athens.

According to reports, the 38-year-old suspect would creep up on his victims with his motorcycle or on foot, and fondle them before making a run for it.

He was apparently active in the suburbs of Kypseli, Maroussi and Nea Philadelphia.

Gang of drug dealers arrested; 26,000 euros confiscated

A drug-dealing ring that was active in the center of Athens was unraveled on Monday, with police arresting six gang members - five Albanian nationals, aged 25, 27, 29, 36 and 47 and one Greek woman, 20.

Police confiscated more than 26 kilos of cannabis, a pistol, 26,000 euros and two cars after raids in homes and cars in the districts of Kypseli and Neos Cosmos.

Attacks Target Three Offices of SYRIZA in Athens

Arsonists attacked three offices of the largest ruling party in the Greek capital of Athens overnight.

Incendiary devices went off at the offices of SYRIZA in Glyfada, Nea Ionia and Kypseli between 1 and 3 a.m. on Monday.

The three attacks caused damage, but no casualties have been reported, daily Kathimerini informs.

Successive attacks on ATMs in Athens suggest coordinated action

Unidentified arsonists targeted the ATMs of bank branches in various parts of greater Athens early Saturday in attacks that caused damage but no injuries.

The first attack was on an ATM in Kypseli, the second occurred a few minutes later in the suburb of Pefki, the third was in Zografou and the fourth in the suburb of Maroussi.
