Leicester defender Çağlar Söyüncü in Turkey with coronavirus

Leicester defender Çağlar Söyüncü contracted the coronavirus while away playing for Turkey and he remains in his home country.

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers disclosed the positive test after Söyüncü missed April 3's 2-0 loss to Manchester City.

"He is good and feeling fine and we will go through the process seeing when he can be back," Rodgers said.

Russia awards Turkish businessman for role in normalizing ties

Russia has awarded a Turkish businessman for his efforts in the normalization of ties between Ankara and Moscow after a major row between the two sides last year.   

Russian President Vladimir Putin granted the Order of Friendship award to Turkish businessman Cavit Çağlar on May 26 with a decree he signed. 

The award was given to a Turkish citizen for the first time.

Turkish films overtake Hollywood at home

Turkish cinema might not be able to compete against Hollywood internationally, but it hasn't suffering any problems in competing against it in its own backyard. That's because Turkish productions overtook Hollywood films in domestic theaters in 2016 as 29 million out of 55 million cinemagoers opted to watch 169 Turkish films released this year.
