Peace and Friendship Stadium flooded following heavy rainfall

The Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF) in Piraeus, home court of the Olympiakos basketball team, was flooded on Thursday due to heavy rainfall in the Attica region.

Damages have been reported, including to the court, the jumbotron and the gym facilities. As a result, the scheduled game against Lavrio on Sunday for the basketball championship, may face postponement.

Violent Incident Among Students with Stabbings Outside 1st EPAL of Lavrio – Two Injured

A violent episode occurred on Friday outside the 1st EPAL of Lavrio, where a confrontation between minors resulted in the stabbing of two individuals. According to initial reports from police sources, the altercation arose for unknown reasons between two groups of minors from Kera-tea and Lavrio, who are reportedly students of the vocational school.

Wildfires blaze near Athens; flames engulf homes, cars

Two large wildfires were blazing in Attica Sunday afternoon. The earliest, south of the town of Keratea, has already burned through homes and cars, but no casualties had been reported as of 5.20 p.m. local.

Fire breaks out near Keratea, one settlement evacuated

A big wildfire broke out southeast of the Greek capital near Keratea on Saturday evening, with residents in one settlement told to move to a safer area.

The flames were burning low grassland but there were scattered houses in the area which could be threatened. More than 100 firefighters with 30 vehicles and four units on foot have been deployed, the fire service said. The
