PM Ponta: Minimum gross wage to be raised at 1,200 lei in 2016
Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced on Thursday a raise of the minimum gross wage to 1,200 lei in 2016, following an advance to 1,050 lei in July this year. (current exchange rate 1 leu = 0.225 euros).

Earnings advance, population declines in November (statistics)
The monthly average net nominal earnings were 1,743 lei in November in Romania, up 38 lei from October, a release of the National Institute of Statistics (INS) informed AGERPRES on Monday.

Hidroelectrica - record profit of 1.073 bn lei
Hidroelectrica recorded, after the first 11 months of 2014, a record profit of 1.073 billion lei, up by 28% from the same period of last year, when the company posted a profit of 841 million lei, a company's release informs on Monday.

Investments over 59 million lei at TAROM in 2014
The Romanian national airline TAROM has earmarked investments of 59.31 million lei (1 leu = 0.2272 euro) in its 2014 revenue and expenditure budget published in the Official Journal.
The document includes a forecast of a 116.8 million lei estimated losses.

Bucharest museum of natural history opens live tropical butterfly exhibition
The Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History in Bucharest opened an exhibition of live tropical butterfly exhibition on Sunday; a museum's release informed AGERPRES that the rare 'Butterfly World' event will stage exotic species from southeastern Asia, Central and South America, and equatorial Africa until the end of August.
