The meeting took place in Croatia during the gathering of the heads of government of the Central and Eastern European Countries and China (16+1).

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is to attend Friday's 16+1 Summit in Dubrovnik, Croatia, between China and 16 European countries - 11 of which are European Union member-states.

According to reports, Tsipras may also meet with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang. 

The meeting will be held April 11-12 in Dubrovnik, the Serbian government has announced.

Turkey's Parliament Speaker Binali Yıldırım met with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Dec. 4 as part of his official visit to China.

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Chairman of the State Council of China Li Keqiang have expressed satisfaction with the results achieved during their meetings in Sofia. Brnabic said in a speech addressing the participants of the summit in Bulgaria that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, while he was head of the Serbian government, recognized the importance of strengthening our relations with China and initiated the strengthening of friendly relations and cooperation in all segments.

As a trade war rages between China and the US, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang is meeting leaders from central and eastern Europe in Bulgaria on Saturday to discuss investment opportunities.

China has the desire to invest and participate in the construction of a railway linking Bulgaria with the Aegean Sea, the North-South Highway and the Belene NPP. This was understood after the meeting of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and the chairman of the State Council of China Li Keqiang.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov will meet with the chairman of the State Council of China Li Keqiang, who arrives on a four-day official visit to Sofia. They will discuss the development of bilateral relations and opportunities for further activation of trade and economic cooperation during a working dinner between the two delegations.
