3,000 refugees arrive in Italy in 3 days (videos)
Over 3,000 refugees arrived in Italy from Tuesday till Friday, according to the country’s authorities. Italian officials say the majority of the refugees are from sub-Saharan Africa and crossed the Mediterranean Sea from Libya. The good weather conditions and the blocking of the Balkan route were the main reasons of a spite in numbers over the past 3 days via Libya-to Italy.

UN extends mission in Libya
The United Nations Security Council decided on extending the U.N. Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) until June 15 to help the country to establish a government.
The resolution requested U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to report to the Security Council on the implementation of this resolution at least every 60 days.

Libya unit urges power transfer to unity gov't
Libya's U.N.-backed Presidential Council called on the country's institutions March 12 to begin a transfer of authority to a unity government, and appealed to the international community to stop dealing with any rival powers.

Over 150,000 Migrants Cross into Greece, Italy in 2016 - IOM
Arrivals of migrants and refugees to Italy and Greece across the Mediterranean routes have exceeded 150,000 between January 1 and March 10, the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) has said.
Arrivals to the Greek islands continue with a daily average of some 2,000, the IOM said in its latest update on migrant inflow to Europe on Friday.
153 Spanish nationals join islamist jihadi groups, says Spain
According to the Spanish Interior Ministry, 153 nationals left the country to to fight in Syria, Libya and Iraq on the side of Islamist jihadi groups, including ISIS/DAESH. ‘We know that 153 people went there and 25 returned to Spain’, said Spain’s Interior Minister Jorge Fernandez Diaz on Spanish state radio.
Tunisia kills 28 jihadists after attack near border
At least 28 jihadists, 10 members of the security forces and seven civilians were killed yesterday in fighting in Tunisia near the Libyan border, the government has said.
Authorities ordered a nighttime curfew as troops deployed across the border town of Ben Guerdane to hunt for others involved in the coordinated pre-dawn attack.
