The largest producer of poultry meat in Bulgaria, Gradus company, has tested all employees in its production line in Stara Zagora and continues to research its employees in the country.
No Change in the Price of Bulgarian Lamb for May 6
Prices of lamb for St. George's Day remain unchanged. 80% the Bulgarian meat was sold on the Easter market. This is reported by the National Sheep and Goat Association. The remaining 20% will be sold for May 6th. The amount will satisfy the needs for St. George's Day." The price of the lamb at Easter ranged between 14-16 BGN per kilogram.

1.2 mln tons of red meat produced in 2019
Turkey's red meat production reached 1.2 million tons in 2019, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced on Feb. 11.
The country's output increased by 7.4 percent in 2019, from 1.12 million tons the previous year, TÜİK said.

Turkey's animal production up 4.7 percent in 2019
Turkey's animal production saw an increase of 4.7 percent, around 3 million, year-on-year in 2019, the country's statistical authority said on Feb. 6.
TÜİK said the total number of animals in Turkey last year reached 66.6 million.
Including cattle and buffalos, the number of bovine animals totaled 17.87 million in 2019, up 3.8 percent year-on-year.

The Bulgarian Food Agency has established consignments of more than 50 tonnes of salmonella-contaminated poultry meat imported from Poland, BNR reported.
Varna Region: More than 40,000 Pigs will be Put Down due to ASF
More than 40,000 pigs will be put down in Varna, the reason African swine fever case.
A few days ago, new cases of ASF were registered in the village of Brestak.
The pig farm is one of the largest in the area. It employs about 130 people.
After the new case of the ASF, authorities banned the transportation of animals.
Hen egg production up in November
Turkey's hen egg production increased by 1.2 percent to 1.69 billion units in November 2019 on a yearly basis, Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) revealed on Jan. 13.
The hen egg production increased by 1.3 percent to reach 18.15 billion units during the first 11 months of 2019, TÜİK data showed.
