Despite being a small city, Malta's capital Valletta draws attention with its rich history and stunning natural beauty.

The Hypogeum of Ħal-Saflieni is a subterranean structure dating to the Saflieni phase (3300-3000 BC) in Maltese prehistory, located in Paola, Malta. It is often simply referred to as the Hypogeum , literally meaning “underground” in Greek.

Malta’s famous rock arch best known as “Azure Window” has collapsed into the sea after heavy storms.

Roger Chessell, from the village of Xaghra, told the Times of Malta: “There was a big raging sea beneath the window. Suddenly, the arch collapsed into the sea.”
