A 2,500-carat diamond was found, valued at $90 million
A few days ago, 52-year-old Lucas Ncipe, assistant general manager of the Canadian diamond mining company Lucara, received a phone call from one of his engineers working at the Karowe mine in Botswana. “We found something incredible,” was the phrase he heard. He almost dropped the phone when he realized what it was about: the second-largest diamond in the world, weighing 2,492 carats.
The Paris Olympic medals will be carried in Louis Vuitton trays
At the Paris Olympics, the medals will be presented on Louis Vuitton trays, covered with the house’s signature Damier canvas. LVMH, a leading partner of the Paris Olympics, unveiled the design on Tuesday. They also revealed 1920s-inspired uniforms for the 515 volunteers selected by the Paris 2024 organizing committee to present the medals.
Gucci opens new store in southern Athens
Fashion leader Gucci is expanding its presence in Greece with the opening of a new boutique in Athens.
Situated at the Astir Marina, a luxury complex, the space spans over 178 square meters and carries a wide selection of men's and women's handbags, accessories, shoes, ready-to-wear and Gucci beauty.
It also carries luxury travel items from Gucci Valigeria.
