The Biggest Bulgarian-Macedonian Business Forum Opened in Skopje

The biggest Bulgarian-Macedonian businesss forum was opened in Skopje on 17th of January, reports BNT. 

Bulgaria is represented by a government delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev, which also includes the Deputy Minister of Economy, the Deputy Minister of Tourism and the Director of the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.

Would Macedonian PM open border with Serbia and Bulgaria?

Rama previously said that "besides the border with Kosovo" he wants to also open Albania's borders with Macedonia, Montenegro and Greece.

Zaev stated on Thursday that he would "do the same, because it would benefit the region," the website Faktor.mk is reporting.

"I would immediately open all borders," the Macedonian PM is quoted as saying.

Macedonian president blasts name deal reached with Greece

Gjorge Ivanov sent this message to members of the Assembly in Skopje at the end of his one-hour speech on Friday.

He quoted the first president of Macedonia, Kiro Gligorov, "who said that the issue of name and identity is older than any constitution, any government, any party, and even the the state, and that no single person, nor any generation, has no right to trade with it."

Katrougalos meets EU foreign policy chief in Brussels

Developments in the Western Balkans and the European Union membership ambitions of countries in the region were at the center of talks between Alternate Foreign Minister Giorgos Katrougalos and the bloc's foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini on Wednesday.

Talks were held on the sidelines of the NATO foreign ministers' meeting at the Alliance's headquarters in Brussels.

Zaev pivots after Athens storm

Seeking to douse the fire that began after the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia's Prime Minister Zoran Zaev implied there is a "Macedonian" minority in Greece, Skopje insisted on Tuesday that it remains firmly committed to the name deal it signed with Greece in June.
