Swedish international striker Marcus Berg will continue playing football in the United Arab Emirates after he signed a contract with Al Ain. Following the agreement between Panathinaikos and Al Ain on the terms of his release from the Greek club, the Arab team posted a photo on its official twitter feed of Marcus Berg after he signed the contract with his new club.

BASKETBALL: Panathinaikos won Game 3 of the Basket League semifinal series beating AEK 81-72 at home on Thursday, despite trailing 52-44 early in the second half. Game 4 will take place with AEK as the host on Monday.

The match between Panathinaikos and PAOK for the Greek Football Super League play-offs in Athens was temporarily suspended by the referee on 55’ after players from both teams were embroiled in a fracas.

The Athenian football derby on Sunday ended with Panathinaikos clinching 3 points away from home against AEK Athens in the dying stages of the match by scoring a 3rd goal (3-2).

Marcus Berg scored a brace to lead Panathinaikos to another derby win on Sunday, as the Greens beat AEK 3-2 away, while Olympiakos returned to winning ways as it came from behind to beat Platanias on Saturday.
