Sports Digest: Missas is the new Greece coach

BASKETBALL: The Hellenic Basketball Federation confirmed on Tuesday the hiring of experienced coach Costas Missas to guide the national team starting with the 2017 Eurobasket this fall. On July 25 he will issue his first call-up of players.

SOCCER: Panathinaikos appears to have agreed to concede Swedish international striker Marcus Berg - last season's top scorer in the Super League - to Asian Champions League runner-up Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates, following an improved offer that tops 3 million euros, according to reports. Just over 2.5 million of that will go into the Panathinaikos coffers.
