Greece is determined to do all it can to attract foreign investment, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said during a meeting in Shanghai with Chinese President Xi Jinping. 

Hitting back at claims by Ankara according to which Greek authorities have pushed back tens of thousands of migrants this year, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis declared that, on the contrary, the Hellenic Coast Guard has saved thousands of lives while also protecting Greece's borders.

"Greece remains a pillar of stability in an incredibly destabilized region," Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Thursday as he headed into a meeting of the European People's Party in Brussels.

"We are here to reiterate our commitment to regional stability," the center-right leader, who is also in the Belgian capital for a two-day European Union summit, said.
