If you see this sea creature on the beach do not pick it up

A stunning dress, a carriage and a shiny pair of crystal slippers. ‘Decline of seagrass in Dardanelles a threat to biodiversity’

The alarming loss of seagrass meadows in the Dardanelles poses a significant threat to marine biodiversity, warns an expert.

Within the scope of the Scientific and Technical Research Council of Türkiye's (TÜBİTAK) study, the effects of mucilage on seagrass meadows, which have an important place in marine biodiversity, were investigated by a team of 12 people in the Dardanos region.

New study reveals alarming levels of microplastics in stranded marine life

A new study conducted by the Archipelagos Institute for Marine Conservation, titled "First Assessment of Micro-Litter Ingested by Dolphins, Sea Turtles and Monk Seals Found Stranded along the Coasts of Samos Island, Greece," has shed light on the extent of plastic pollution in the Aegean Sea.

Excitement over newly discovered marine fossils

Marine fossils discovered in eastern Turkey indicate the region was underwater millions of years ago, according to experts.

The Recycling of 100% of the Aluminum Cans Saves Energy for 4 Million Households

It is estimated that by 2050 the weight of plastic in the oceans will be greater than the weight of fish in it. Plastic that is disposed in the oceans poses a risk to seabirds, fish and marine mammals that ingest it inevitably. We are already used to reading articles about marine animals found dead with significant amounts of plastic in their stomachs.
