Markale massacres

Victims, politicians and ordinary Sarajevans marked the 19th anniversary of the wartime attack that killed 34 civilians and injured many more at the Markale open-air market in the capital.

A Bosnian Serb Army officer insisted that Bosniak forces staged an attack that killed over 60 people at Sarajevo’s Markale market in 1994, Ratko Mladic’s war crimes trial was told.
