Athens revives temporary visas for Turks, Bloomberg reports

Turkish nationals wanting to visit the Greek islands will be granted a temporary visa for a limited time, in a bid to bolster tourism between the two countries, Bloomberg cited sources as saying on Wednesday. 

The initiative, which is a revival of an earlier scheme, may be announced during Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Athens on Thursday.

Mali presents Expo 2027 project to Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali presented on Tuesday a project to build the Expo 2027 complex to Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, who is visiting Belgrade.

After the presentation, Mali gave Wozniak a basket of organic apples, as well as a replica of a 14th-century dinar coin from the era of Serbian Emperor Dusan.

Police nabs senior member of int’l gang in Istanbul

Istanbul police have apprehended one of the managers of an organized crime group actively operating in Russia, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced.

Shamil Amirov, identified as one of the managers of the "Thieves in Law," was wanted by Interpol with a blue notice of fraud, Yerlikaya said on X on Dec. 3.

Stojkovic announces final squad list for crucial EURO 2024 qualifiers

BELGRADE - The head coach of the Serbia men's national football team Dragan Pixie Stojkovic on Friday announced his final squad list for the upcoming crucial EURO 2024 qualifying games against Hungary and Montenegro.

It includes young Partizan Belgrade centre back Mihajlo Ilic and RB Salzburg striker Petar Ratkov, while Luka Jovic has been omitted from the fold.

‘1923’ celebrates 100th anniversary of Republic
