Vacancy rate in Istanbul office market falls significantly
The vacancy rate in Grade A offices in Istanbul, Türkiye's financial and commercial center, has declined markedly in the first quarter of 2024 compared with the same period of last year, according to a report by Cushman & Wakefield TR International.
In the January-March period of 2022, the vacancy rate stood at as high as 20 percent.
Office occupancy in Istanbul hits 10-year high
Office occupancy in Istanbul, Türkiye's financial and commercial center, has hit a 10-year high of 84.9 percent as of June, according to a report by C&W Türkiye International.
The city's office market has recovered fast from the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the general office supply in Istanbul standing at 6.46 million square meters.

Historic cistern in Taksim Square to be renovated
Renovation work has begun for a nearly 300-year-old cistern in Taksim Square in the heart of Istanbul.
The cistern, also known as "the Maksem," was revamped in 2008 and served as the Taksim Republic Art Gallery for years. It has been a favorite spot for visiting tourists for taking pictures.
