Young woman assaulted on public bus in Istanbul for wearing shorts
A young woman has been verbally and physically assaulted on a public bus on the first day of the Eid al-Adha holiday for wearing short pants, private broadcaster ShowTV has reported.
The 23-year-old woman was assaulted after she got onto the bus in the Maslak neighborhood of Istanbul on Sept. 12.
Man attempts suicide near presidential facility in Istanbul
A man has attempted suicide after trying to enter a presidential facility in Istanbul following a quarrel with the police.
The unidentified suspect entered the Huber Kö?k, a presidential facility located in Istanbul's Tarabya district, despite police asking him to stop.

Turkish pop great Kayahan dies at 66
One of the best-selling musicians in Turkey, pop singer, songwriter and composer Kayahan Açar, who became famous as Kayahan, has died of cancer aged 66.
He was diagnosed with soft tissue cancer in 1990, for which he had been receiving long-term treatment. Though he was able to recover multiple times, he relapsed in 2005 and 2014.

Istanbul’s largest panoramic photo unveiled
A Turkish computer expert has created the most detailed panoramic image of Istanbul ever, using a total of 1,400 photographs.
Ahmet Bozdemir, a system manager at the 360tr.com website that hosts panoramic images from around Turkey, took hundreds of photographs on the roof of the Istanbul Sapphire, one of the tallest buildings in Europe.
