Canadian Air Force start Air Policing mission in Romania

The Royal Canadian Air Force Detachment, consisting of approximately 140 airmen (pilots and technical personnel) and six CF-188 Hornet aircraft, begin their enhanced Air Policing mission under NATO command in the next three months, in Romania, together with the airmen belonging to the Romanian Air Force and the F-16 Fighting Falcon and MiG-21 LanceR aircraft.

US Supersonic Fighter Jet Crashes off Florida Coast - Two dead

The F-18, a twin-engine supersonic aicraft used by the US Navy, came down in waters near Naval Air Station Key West in Florida on the US east coast. 

Two pilots ejected from the aicraft at around 4.30pm local time, according to the US Navy.

Tragically it has since been confirmed the two inside the aircraft died.

An EF-18 fighter jet has crashed at the Torrejon military base outside Madrid, according to the Spanish Defense Ministry. The ministry confirmed that the pilot has died.
“As a result of the accident, which took place during take-off maneuvers, the fighter pilot has died,” The Ministry of Defense wrote online. The incident occurred shortly after 11am local time Tuesday.
