Erdoğan condemns xenophobia after alleged child abuse

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has urged the public to avoid xenophobia after allegations surfaced on June 30 that a Syrian national molested a child in the central city of Kayseri.

"One cannot get anywhere with xenophobia in society," Erdoğan stated at a gathering of his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in the capital Ankara on July 1.

Turkish man arrested after stealing horse 'to pass kidney stone'

A man living in the Central Anatolian province of Kayseri was arrested on Nov. 21 after he stole a horse because he had been told it would aid in the passing of his kidney stone, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

In his testimony, M.G. reportedly said he stole the horse upon doctor's advice to ride a horse in order to pass his kidney stone.
