Top restaurant group calls for discounts to 'revitalize sector'
The leading association of restaurateurs in Türkiye has urged its member businesses to offer a 10 percent discount on their menus in a bid to "revitalize" the dining sector.
The call to action followed a visit to Trade Minister Ömer Bolat by the All Restaurants and Tourism Professionals Association (TÜRES), during which an assessment of current prices in the sector was conducted.

Titanic menu sells for £84,000 at UK auction
A first-class dinner menu from the Titanic's ill-fated maiden voyage offering oysters, beef and mallard duck has sold for 84,000 pounds ($103,000), the U.K. auction house responsible for its sale said on Nov. 12.
The menu, for a meal served on April 11, 1912, is decorated with a red White Star Line burgee but the original gilt lettering is no longer visible.

‘Extensive breakfast menus lead to excessive food waste’
