Man’s body recovered from metro tracks in Athens
Rescuers have recovered the body of a man who fell onto the tracks of an Athens metro station.
Six firefighters attended the scene at Kallithea station, which is on green Line 1.
The circumstances of the incident remain unclear.
During the operation, services were temporarily suspended at the station.

Students Caused Panic at the Serdika Metro Station in Central Sofia
Students threw a smoke ball under the wagon of the station of the Serdika metro station. The police station and the fire department immediately arrived at the station.

Although new barriers that work with the recently launched electronic transport tickets were due to be activated at all metro stations in Athens on Wednesday, just six were in operation.
Transport authorities hope to activate the barriers at a minimum of one more station by the end of this year.
